in clay. Most all students can hardly wait to get their hands on this pliable natural resource. Before the student gets their hands dirty, we look at a few cultures to see how they used clay. We begin with the Chinese who are known for the development and evolution of Ceramics. The student will also see examples of ceramic animals from the following cultures: Egyptians, Romans, Greek, Latin American, and Native American. Each student is expected to make a recognizable
animal using the pinch pot method, with additive and subtractive details that is level and well put together. I am always eager to see the creativity the students have and to see what they can make with a lump of clay.
